Reservations of Participants for Exhibition Area Increased Substantially

Wind Power Asia 2008, the 5th Asian Wind Energy Conference & Exhibition is expected to grow substantially with respect to the number of exhibitors and exhibition area. The fair will have considerably more exhibition space when it opens its gates from 25 to 27 June 2008 at Beijing Exhibition Centre.

194 exhibitors participated in the last event, covering more than 15.000 square metres exhibitions space. Wind Power Asia thus has become the number one event for wind energy industry in China and Asia. The number of exhibitors for Wind Power Asia 2008 is expected to increase strongly again. Already now the organizer Unique International Exhibitions can count reservations 30% more than in 2006. The trade fair, which will be held 25 - 27 June 2008 in Beijing, is planned to cover approximately 25,000 square metres of exhibition area.

Therefore, Wind Power Asia 2008 will be as expected the most important and largest international trade fair for wind energy in Asia. As in 2007, Unique International Exhibitions is continuing its successful cooperation with its Chinese governmental partners: The Bureau of Energy of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), The Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). These departments will guarantee the very quality of the trade visitors.

The Industry leaders are going to present the latest products for the Asian market. The entire range of wind energy machinery including wind turbines, generators, cables, blade, gearboxes, control, inspection and accessories will be on display at Wind Power Asia. Visitors who attend Wind Power Asia are predominantly decision-makers from the electricity industry, the investors, the service providers as well as state and regional government institutions from approximately 20 countries especially China and Asia, with the focus on Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Singapore.

Wind Power Asia is the most successful and most important trade fair for the wind energy industry in the Chinese and Asian market with 10,000 trade fair visitors from all regions of China and all continents in the last event. In 2007, a total of 194 exhibitors presented the complete range of wind energy machines on an area of 15,000 sqm at one of the most modern trade fair centers in Asia, the China World Trade Centre (CWTC). In 2008 Wind Power Asia will cover approximately 25,000 sqm exhibition space.
